Tree Services

Searching on the Web for a tree service, and using a Contractor service provider such as Angies list, Thumbtack, Homeadvisor, Homeguide and Yelp is at your own peril. These entities are marketing companies, marketing their clients who pay for this service for fees to get there name in front of you.

Tree Services

These services cannot deliver those companies who wish not to participate in their paid services. There are reasons we don’t use these services. Tree work in our profession is known as Arboriculture. Most citizens are unaware of how Arboriculture is performed, because it is rare,  most of these companies do business (cut trees), there is a huge difference.

Informed people understand what they are looking for in the most part.  Most companies that perform Arboriculture see no need for these services because the competing companies are generally 1) substandard and  2) expectations are set by the web contractor service provider not the company.

What I have seen over the years is the Tree Services that use these services omit quite of bit of important information;  address or a PO  box, verifiable certifications if any at all, phony memberships in associations (NAA), and misleading statements like licensed arborist or certified member. All important when hiring someone to come onto your property and pay to do what’s right for he trees.

Therefore, when making a decision it comes down to pricing, the lowest denominator, cheap is good, good isn’t cheap. Back when we had the telephone book, we could actually thumb across pages of competitors and see who is out there and compare services. Now it is all served up to you on a search engine what someone else thinks you should see.
