Root Flare Exposure Service
The surgical removal of soils and fill dirt from the bottom of the tree trunk area, known as root flares, not only relieves a number a depilating stresses from the tree, but it also allows your Arborist to identify any other important health risks that may be present, such as damaging invertebrate organisms or parasitic/saprophytic fungi.
When a root flare exposure service is performed properly, the root flares should be visible and pronounced. Diseases may not be immediately obvious upon completion of the service, therefore the tree should be monitored for such manifestations since this historically is what occurs after root flare exposure. Only ISA Certified Arborists who specialize in tree health care and are licensed by the Texas Dept. of Agriculture are qualified to identify, diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatments.
