Foundation Barriers & Root Barriers
Are you concerned about the foundation of your home moving? Are there trees nearby? If so, those trees could be the cause of that movement. A structural engineer may be able to identify the source of the movement but an ISA Certified Arborist can confirm that source if it is related to the trees. This is when you will hear the terms, “Foundation Barrier” or “Root Barrier.” In either case the only difference between a foundation barrier and a root barrier is just in the wording.
Why do people call us for help? Because they either do not wish to remove their trees and/or they have concerns about the long term health of their trees. Trees are significant assets and increase or add substantial value to your real-estate. That is why you want the best at installing foundation / root barriers. We understand both issues and can solve them without loss. We use a root barrier material that has been university researched, peer reviewed and has a history of success.
When searching for a contractor that installs foundation / root barriers there are two basic questions you most definitely need to ask:
- What type of material will used for the root barrier?
- How long will it last?
Advanced Tree & Shrub Care, Inc. has been installing root barriers since 1994. We use material that has been proven to work and most importantly, we treat the trees prior to installation to support the trees ability to recover. This alone sets us apart from contractors who install barriers without regard for the trees.
